Fluid Fest is Calgary's premier contemporary dance and performance festival.
With dense programming in October/November each year, it offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the possibility of performance. Sink into interconnections between distinct local creative voices and artists coming our way across many kinds of borders.

Springboard Performance is seeking small scale works from Alberta-based artists to animate The Erratics Indie Arts Club as part of our Fluid Fest, 2026.
A newly renovated venue, The Erratics Indie Arts Club is a small, flexible theatre designed to support innovative and intimate performance. With seating for 70 and a new sprung, marley floor, it is ideal for movement-based and interdisciplinary work that is experimental, and responsive to place and audience connection. Selected artists will have the opportunity to spend one week in the space, with the possibility of a residency prior to the performance. Available presentation opportunities include:
- Cabaret performances (8 minutes)
- Short Works (20 minutes)
- Full-Length Works (60 minutes)

More About the Fluid Fest...
Fluid Fest features numerous performances, workshops and artist talks across multiple venues in the city with artists from across Canada and beyond. The fest holds something for everyone, whether that be an experience of wonder, an adventure through the offerings of poignant artists of the moment, or an opportunity to connect.
Fluid Fest is presented by Springboard Performance, which bridges disciplines with clustered festival programming, creative residencies, performances and more. Springboard champions exploration of physical contemporary practices; in deepening understanding of art and ideas, and supports the aesthetic risk-taking that challenges both artists and audiences with new ways of seeing, representing and responding to contemporary life.
